Privacy
This page is a short, plain summary. A lawyer should review it before you rely on it.
What we store
- Your email, a scrambled (scrypt) version of your password, your page content and uploads.
- Fan emails that visitors give you through an email sign-up block. You own them and can download them any time.
- Payments for a paid plan (Pro or Agency): the plan, amount, status, and the M-Pesa number or code, or the card reference, you paid with. Tips are paid straight to the creator's own Till, Paybill or payment link, so we do not take or see them.
Analytics
We count page views and link clicks without cookies. A visitor is a hash of their IP address, browser and a salt that changes every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. We look up the country and region from the IP address with a free database (DB-IP) on our own server, keep only the country and region, and do not keep the address. If a link has campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) on a Pro or Agency page, we keep those tags with the view or click. Bots, link previews and your own visits are skipped. On the Free plan, events older than 400 days are deleted. Pro and Agency pages keep all their history while the plan is active, and for five weeks after it ends.
Security log
To protect your account we keep a log of sign-ins, wrong passwords, password changes and similar account events: the time, your IP address and your browser. You can see yours in Settings. We delete entries after 180 days, and when you delete your account.
Cookies
One sign-in cookie for creators, only after you log in. Public pages set no cookies. Music and video players on a page load only after a visitor presses “Load player”; the company behind the player (Spotify, YouTube, SoundCloud, Apple or Vimeo) may then set its own cookies and see the visitor’s IP address.
Your data
Download your whole page, fan emails and analytics from Settings. Delete your account there and everything goes with it.
